Well done to Don Taylor for his letter in the Echo tonight, 5.3.09 he is right to point out the unfairness of the organisation of the referendum. Then to add insult to injury the Coucil have vowed to ignore the result. The Council are not legally bound the abide by the result, but it seems sheer political folly to ignore a 93.6% NO vote and it's worrying because quite frankly they don't give a damn, they want to do what they want to do irrespective of the views of voters. This scant regard for voters will ultimately, in the long run, be see them suffer in future elections.

I'v got four nieces in that age group, they all use our park, I'll see what they think.

I am thinking of organising a kite flying day in our park, do you like kites or know anyone who would like to join me, as my family and I regularly go to the Rec on windy days to fly our kite?

I see the Caring Council have published their statutory notice to build on our park. Now we have to object to Cardiff Council, Schools and Lifelong Learning, County Hall, Cardiff. I hope they are inundated with objections. I think we need to tell Reel of the amount of objections, inform Don and Denise once you've sent sent it off, I don't trust the council, what have they ever done to makeus trust them? Send your objections recorded delivery, if there are two of you, don't put Mr and Mrs as it will count as one objection. Send two letters. Ask for an acknowlegement too. My objection will be, it's environmentally wrong to build on parkland and it's unsafe to have 1,600 kids pouring out of a school on to two very dangerous roads, Newport Road and Llanrumney Ave, and kids heading to St. Mellons and coaches going to Llanederyn because those poor kids are being booted out of their school too.OBJECT!!!! and save OUR park.
